When it comes to charitable goals, Neighborhood Credit Union likes to put an emphasis on “neighborhood.”
For three decades, Neighborhood Credit Union has been a proud partner of Children’s Health℠ through a variety of fundraising programs such as the BOO Yard Sign Challenge and most recently, as presenting sponsor for Swing Fore Miracles — a corporate-focused event at Topgolf that raised more than $130,000 last year for the expansion at Children’s Medical Center Plano.
“Children’s Health is a vital resource to the community we call home, and several families within our organization have received lifesaving care at the hospital. Those connections makes our partnership and donation efforts that much more special,” said Jessie Swendig, Senior VP of Marketing and Corporate Communications.
Jessie shared more about Neighborhood Credit Union’s giving to Children’s Health in a quick Q&A:
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO SUPPORT AND FUNDRAISE FOR CHILDREN’S HEALTH?
Children’s Health was the first pediatric hospital in the Dallas and North Texas communities, and as the first credit union in Dallas, it only made sense for us to partner. The work that Children’s Health does impacts all facets of a family, not just the kids. When we volunteer in The Zone at Children’s Medical Center Dallas or at special holiday functions, it’s special to see who our donations are impacting and how the small details and extra amenities really make a difference in the time kids spend in the hospital.
WHY IS CHILDREN’S HEALTH AN IMPORTANT RESOURCE FOR YOUR COMMUNITY?
Children’s Health is forward-thinking and on the cutting-edge of health care technology. Families come from all over North Texas to receive care at Children’s Health. We align with their mission resolved to provide excellent care, regardless of the family’s ability to pay. This kind of reassurance is so important for every family.
WHY IS CHILDREN’S HEALTH A WORTHY PLACE TO SUPPORT WHEN MAKING A FINANCIAL GIFT?
Children’s Health relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations to provide critical health care for our youngest population, and you can see the impact you make in a family’s and child’s life when you give to the hospital system.
